To support policymakers and related stakeholders across the Eastern Caribbean in their efforts to advance digital financial inclusion, the UNCDF-EU-OACP Partnership for Digital Financial Inclusion is launching a Technical Workshop entitled “Advancing Financial Inclusion & Digital Payments Across the Eastern Caribbean”.
The programme’s first technical workshop is geared towards policymakers and will take place in person between:
January 17th – 19th, 2023, Hyatt Hotel, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (AST).
The first technical workshop will focus on two themes:
1. Licensing, regulating and supervising E-Money and Digital Finance.
2. Security for emerging digital financial services.
This event is the first in a multi-event series brought about by the new Eastern Caribbean Digital Financial Inclusion programme, which launched in February 2022 and is implemented by the UN Capital Development Fund in partnership with the European Union and Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States.
The first technical workshop is intended to provide a mix of deep-dive presentations, peer-exchanges, policy simulation exercises and closed-door dialogue opportunities with experts to take place in person.
