UNCDF’s Head of Policy intervened in the plenary session of the conference on Inclusive Growth and the post-2015 framework

UNCDF’s Head of Policy Nicola Crosta intervened in the plenary session of the conference on Inclusive Growth and the post-2015 framework, sharing the panel with representatives of OECD, FAO and Italian institutions. In his remarks - building on UNCDF’s recent ‘Inclusive Future’ report - Mr Crosta insisted on the urgency to tackle inequality and the importance to ensure that the emerging post-2015 development framework will be conducive to inclusive growth. He also highlighted the importance of introducing innovations in development finance that can bring together public and private resources, especially at the local level. Mr Bonaglia, Head of the OECD Policy Dialogue Division confirmed that alarming trends in inequality are a key challenge for both developed and developing countries and call for deliberate reforms that foster inclusive growth.

The meeting, one of the key cultural events in Italy, was supported by City of Piacenza and various Italian institutions, Universities and Foundations and brought together senior policymakers and experts from a wide range of sectors and countries.
