Organized by UNCDF, the CleanStart Connect 2013 event saw two days of lively exchanges between energy service providers, investors, financial institutions and development partners from 18 countries. With the theme Building last-mile energy markets: financing scale and impact, the discussions focused on improving the range and scale of financing for low-income consumers, micro-businesses and energy enterprises such as microcredit, pay-as-you-go schemes and financing for energy enterprises at various stages of growth.
