For the past four years, the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) programme YouthStart has been working with 10 financial services providers (FSPs) in sub-Saharan Africa to develop, test and scale up affordable, accessible and relevant financial services for youth. As this regional pilot comes to an end, YouthStart is hosting a knowledge-sharing event with its 10 FSP partners in Kigali, Rwanda from 9 to 11 September 2014.
On the first day of the meeting 18 clients from Umutanguha Finance (formally UCU) came to share their stories with the participants. As they left they sang a song praising all the YouthStart partners for the opportunities they contributed to create.
