A validation workshop on ‘Fast Moving Consumer Goods Micro-Merchants Landscape Assessment’ was jointly organized by UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) on 16 May 2018 in Dhaka. Around 155 participants attended to the dialogue.
The focus of the dialogue was to validate research findings and elaborate the scope, opportunities and engagement of micro-merchant and DFS and identify the role of the private sector and government in ensuring the financial inclusion in Bangladesh.
The study was commissioned by UN Capital Development Fund on behalf of a consortium of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Dnet and Bangladesh Dokan Malik Samity, supported by the European Union and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
