Annual Banking Conference 2017: Accelerating Digital Financial Services to Achieve Financial Inclusion by 2021

Nearly 400 delegates attended the second day of the sixth annual Conference on Banking which took place on 27th November 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Under the theme 'Accelerating Digital Financial Services to achieve financial inclusion by 2021', the event demonstrated the importance of client centricity, product innovation, and enabling environment to realize universal financial inclusion through digital financial services. The outcome documents of the event, the 'Annual Banking Conference Highlights' and 'Annual Banking Conference Proceedings' will support the financial sector in striving to accelerate digital financial services to all by 2021.

The subsequent conference reports provide an overview of the various sessions, as well as insights and discussions that transpired during the event – such as how partnerships among stakeholders involved in digital financial services promote product diversification, client centricity, consumer protection and innovation within the sector. Speech and research studies presented during the event are also part of the conference report.

The Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management and the UN Capital Development Fund jointly organized the conference, with the support of European Union.
