The 2017 State of the Digital Financial Services Market in Senegal provides key insights into the state of the DFS market, drawing on data collected through the 2018 UNCDF-MM4P Annual Provider Survey (APS), and complemented by data from other sources such as GSMA.

The survey was developed by the UNCDF-MM4P team and administered to providers that offer digital financial solutions, including mobile money operators, banks and fintechs in Senegal. The survey included both quantitative and qualitative questions. The findings of this provider survey show the strong growth of digital financial services (DFS) in Senegal and, above all, the commitment of the various stakeholders to promoting digital finance.
