How to contribute to the financial inclusion of young entrepreneurs in Guinea? [Only in French]
Economic development and growth in Guinea, as in many least developed countries, require better access to financing for young people and their projects.
This access to finance notably involves the development of the formal financial sector and the bringing together of young people (mostly rural people) towards the financial sector. Recent data on the situation of financial inclusion in Guinea shows that the level of financial inclusion has increased not because of banking institutions or decentralized economic systems, but because of the offer of digital financial services. With an evolution of the proportion of the adult population with an account going from 7% in 2014 to 23.5% in 2017. While this percentage remains low, it is essential to help financial institutions to understand better the needs of this population to adapt their products and provide financial education for young people.
