Joint programme description

The Integrated National Financing Framework for Accelerating Achievement of SDGs (INFF4SDGs) in Bangladesh supports the government of Bangladesh to put in place an integrated financing framework to more effectively mobilize required resources from public and private sources for attaining SDGs by 2030.

INFF4SDGs is a joint project between UN agencies - UNCDF, UNDP, UN WOMEN and ILO.

UNCDF contribution

Under the Joint Programme, UNCDF works toward financing SDGs-linked activities in Bangladesh through innovative financing tools and leverages innovations in financing instruments. UNCDF also focuses on inter-governmental fiscal transfers for local level climate change adaptation financing.

Through this joint programme support, the government will not only estimate the gaps in SDG financing but also adopt a forward-looking approach regarding engaging the public, private sector and partners, keeping in considerations the country’s LDC graduation in 2026. The government will be able to focus on fiscal space analysis and identify new and innovative fiscal spaces and business models for the private sector for attaining SDGs.

This Joint Programme will also result in a strong governance and coordination mechanisms among the government and private sectors and an oversight mechanism for expenditure efficiencies and maximizing expenditure impacts.
