The Local Government Excellence Fund (LGEF) supports local authorities to access additional funds, capacity building and technical assistance for economic infrastructure projects to support local economic development and job creation at the local level. The Fund was designed by UNCDF in partnership with Government of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives with the support of the European Union under the Development Initiative for Northern Uganda (DINU) programme.
