The Local Climate Adaptive Living Facility is proud to be hosting an event at Climate Week NYC and as a side-event to UNGA

High-Level representatives and ministers from countries deploying the Local Climate Adaptive Living (LoCAL) mechanism recently signed a Ministerial Declaration for political guidance and high-level leadership on locally led adaptation. The declaration is a strong call ahead of COP27 for increased climate finance for locally led action using the LoCAL Facility as a Non-Market Approach under article 6.8 of the Paris Agreement.

The LoCAL event "Making Paris Work for the People: Adaptation at scale in climate-vulnerable nations" takes place on 20 September at 09.30 am EST. Go here for more information and to register your online or in-person attendance.

Taking place from September 19-25, #ClimateWeekNYC returns for 2022 with a focus on how businesses, governments and organizations are fulfilling commitments and driving climate action. It is the time and place where the world gathers to showcase leading climate action and discuss how to do more, fast.

Hosted annually by the Climate Group in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and the City of New York, Climate Week NYC is a global platform for all voices working to protect the planet and its people. The platform brings together world leaders, businesses, and civil society every year to showcase ambitious climate action and innovative solutions that are delivering on net zero commitments.
