This publication synthesizes recommended practices and lessons learned of delivering youth financial and non-financial services (NFS) during the four-and-a half year period of the YouthStart programme with 10 different Financial Services providers (FSPs) throughout sub-Saharan Africa. The paper provides strategies and tips for increasing the uptake and usage of youth savings accounts, youth loan repayment and reaching young women and girls with financial services.  It also provides recommendations on choosing the most appropriate NFS delivery model for the context and target group and partnering with youth serving organization (YSOs). FSPs can use this paper as a practical guide to developing and implementing a long-term strategy for providing financial and non-financial services to youth.
