Day 1 – Impact Stories – Looking Back at What Was Achieved
In an effort to reveal the ingredients that make youth finance work, YouthStart partners will share stories from clients and from their project. Participants will interview each other and youth clients of Umutanguha Finance Ltd. from Rwanda to discover more about the impact of youth finance in a variety of contexts. We will share some of these stories and the conclusions of our partners through our blog.
Day 2 – Challenges and Best Practices in Youth Finance
On the second day, participants will further explore the stories of impact and success. To that end, three YouthStart partners will present in more detail a particular aspect of their services that made their approach to youth finance successful. Umutanguha Finance Ltd. from Rwanda will present their approach to loans for youth. FINCA from the Democratic Republic of the Congo will share how they have used technology to expand their reach. FUCEC (Faîtière des Unités Coopératives d’Epargne et de Crédit) from Togo will explain how they focused their services on young women and girls. To learn more about each of these partners, check our post of the day.
Day 3 – Looking to the Future – Continuing to grow together
On the last day, YouthStart partners will reflect on the sustainability of their services to youth. Participants will help shape the next phase of the YouthStart programme and how it can best leverage the learnings and results gained so far.
