Sowing Seeds of Success
For the past four years, the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) programme YouthStart has been working with 10 financial services providers (FSPs) in sub-Saharan Africa to develop, test and scale up affordable, accessible and relevant financial services for youth. As this regional pilot comes to an end, YouthStart is hosting a knowledge-sharing event with its 10 FSP partners in Kigali, Rwanda from 9 to 11 September 2014.
The overarching goal of the workshop is to foster knowledge sharing among the YouthStart partners so that they can benefit from the lessons learned and promising practices of their peers to sustain their work in youth financial inclusion beyond the regional pilot. The knowledge will also contribute to UNCDF's plans to expand the programme to other countries and to deepen youth financial inclusion in the pilot countries.
You are now visiting the webpage where we intend to share with others the YouthStart partners' discussions over the three days of the workshop. As you follow our posts on this page, you will learn more about the design of financial and non-financial products and services for youth, and the challenges and solutions YouthStart partners explored to scale up their services to youth—particularly to young women and the most vulnerable.
The workshop is organized by UNCDF in partnership with Global Learning Partners, and it is made possible by the generous support of The MasterCard Foundation.
