Scam Alert

UNCDF is aware of fictitious vacancy announcements or solicitations that are being circulated through the Internet, the purpose of which is to induce individuals to apply for positions and send in a fee for services related to recruitment or training. In some cases, such announcements or solicitations refer to actual vacancy posts and/or personnel currently working for UNCDF.

Employment

Please be advised UNCDF, as a matter of policy and practice, does not charge any fee at any stage of its recruitment process (application, interview, processing, training, visa or other fee), nor authorizes consultants, agencies or organizations to charge applicants a fee or fees for such services. UNCDF does not request or issue personal bank checks, Money Grams, Western Union or any other type of money transfer at any stage of its recruitment process.

UNCDF has vacancies for which external applications are sought; these are listed on the Employment page of this website, as well as on the UNDP Jobs Site. All applications should be made through the UNDP Jobs Site. By clicking on a vacancy announcement listed in the UNCDF Employment page, applicants will automatically be taken to the relevant announcement on the UNDP Jobs Site where an application may be made. UNCDF will only consider online applications through the UNDP Jobs Site.

Procurement

UNCDF does not charge a fee at any stage of its procurement process (supplier registration, bids submission or other fee). Visit our Procurement page or https://procurement-notices.undp.org/ to see the latest business opportunities with UNCDF.

UNCDF does not request any information related to bank accounts or other private information prior to formal registration as a vendor. UNCDF does not request or issue personal bank checks, Money Grams, Western Union or any other type of money transfer at any stage of its procurement process.

UNCDF does not offer prizes, awards, funds, certificates, scholarships or conduct lotteries through e-mail, mail or fax. Since logos, emblems, names and addresses can be copied or reproduced easily, you are advised to take particular care in applying for vacancies or engaging in procurement exercises, including undertaking all appropriate measures to protect against the unauthorized use of any personal information you may have provided as a result of the scam. Financial loss and identity theft can result from the transfer of money or personal information to those issuing such fraudulent correspondence. UNCDF is not responsible for any such loss or theft.

If you believe that you have received such a notice or solicitation, we would kindly request that you forward it, and any other related information you have received, to scamalert@undp.org. Victims of scams may also wish to report them to local law enforcement authorities.
