
Digital Finance for the Sustainable Development Goals

In conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the UN Secretary-General's Task Force on Digital Financing of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is organizing an event where participants from around the world will be able to present their innovation that addresses the SDGs through digital financing to a global audience.
We are looking for innovations that address different SDGs. Your application should show that you are seizing the opportunities stated below on how digital finance can contribute to achieve the SDGs or solving the examples of challenges that we have stated below. They are not an exhaustive list but rather a guide.
Is the business innovative? Does the product/ service/ business model go beyond existing practices? Is the solution addressing a gap in the market?
Is the innovation commercially driven? Does it demonstrate a strong potential for commercial viability, scalability and replicability?
Does the product/ service target the local and vulnerable populations? Does the innovation meet the local requirement or address the problem?
Will the innovation bring sizable and sustainable benefits to a significant number of underserved customers and contribute to the success of SDGs in the market?
This process will be followed in both Malaysia and India resulting in up to three (3) teams selected per country.
