
Erika Antoine-Souklaye is the Strategic Communications Advisor at the United Nations Capital Development Fund. A French national, she brings over 15 years of experience across the United Nations (UNHCR, UNDP) and private sector (logistics, banking). Erika holds dual master’s degrees in Business and Corporate Communication from East Paris University and Political Sciences from Sciences Po Aix, and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
Erika leads on the development and implementation of UNCDF’s communications strategy. She elevates UNCDF’s corporate positioning and thought leadership by leading the development, harmonization, and editorial review of think pieces and position papers in priority areas, and collaborates with the Strategic Relations Advisor to shape strategic engagements for UNCDF’s Executive Leadership Team (Executive Secretary, Chief Investment Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Chief Operations Officer).
Before joining UNCDF, Erika led strategic communications for the UNDP Accelerator Labs at the Executive Office earning global recognition, including the Fast Company World Changing Ideas Award and the 2023 SXSW Innovation Award. Her efforts have been pivotal in fostering partnerships with member states (Germany, Qatar, Japan) and private sector (Hyundai Motor Company) and enhancing the Labs' visibility across 115 countries and in global media (WEF, BBC, Forbes, Washington Post…). Prior to joining UNDP, Erika served as Digital Marketing Officer at UNHCR where she implemented innovative advocacy and fundraising strategies, leveraging AI and data analytics to transform donor engagement and contribute to UNHCR’s goal of raising over $1 billion in private-sector support by 2025, with direct fundraising of 700k USD, and contribution of 4.6M USD via strategic and tactical support of 23 offices. She also held key roles at Maersk Group and Crédit Coopératif, driving external and internal communications, digital marketing, media relations and partnerships.
